Plot
Evan Rachel Wood plays an innocent 13-season-old Seventh grade student world health organization befriends a popular 'uncivilized girl' of the school, played by Reed. A friendship leads to promiscuous sex, drug abuse, and self-destructive behavior through lies and closemouthed behavior. These issues come compounded per strained relationships Wood's character has by using her absentee father, mother's previous cocain addicted lover & her easily-meaning, convalescent alcoholic mother (played by Holly Hunter), to whom she has difficulty relating.
